New Year, Fresh Start

We get to turn the last calendar page on the old year and welcome all the possibilities of a new one.

I don’t know about you but I am a wonder-eyed child this time of the year!

Thinking of all the new opportunities, adventures, people I may meet…potential.

The bad and ugly can happen too. Snarky? Nah, it’s life. But Steph, shit happens. Right. I know.

But let’s not dwell on the sad and negative of what could happen (and probably won’t). That’s called “worry”.

And worry is a wasted emotion. Think about that. It sucks the life from you and gives nothing back.

Children don’t worry. They embrace the here and now. They laugh. And play. Hard. Until they are exhausted.

For today, the beginning of a new year, laugh and play like your old self. Remember that child? What did you do that made you giggle and happy?

We’ve turned the page. We’ve got a fresh start to a new beginning.
